But suddenly, for some reason unexpectedly for the “PivnGZK”, they did not approve such a project. It had to be recompleted, providing additional cleaning system for the construction of new electrical filters. Then GZK could not find contractors who will do the job under the pledge to pay for it afterwards. And now – they say they do not fit in the scheduled time, because they needed extra money and time.

To company has for a long time a question: Why did not plan everything from the outset strictly within the current legislation? It was believed that it is more profitable, and the population of the surrounding areas be patient? Will the continued excessive emissions continue? And now it is all public hearings, Deputy commissions and working groups to talk about the difficulties that have arisen. That we all have to come to the new promises. But where is the guarantee that modernization will still take place, and in 2022 we will not listen to the next excuse and request to postpone the execution time of the measures?

As was organized this time the city Council session, you’ve probably already seen. The meeting of the Deputy Commission on ecological issues in the fresh, cool air was not wished to visit most of its members. Therefore, the discussion of the draft decision and the recommendations of the Commission were not properly processed. Present the wrong information, allegedly the Working Group recommended support the transfer of terms for the plant. But in fact the voting concerned only the draft decision for the session.

The local self-government body, according to the Ministry, had to make a final decision on this issue. And now, the decision is yesterday: the deputy majority allowed one of the enterprises of “Metìnvest” not to perform the planned activities of the local ecoprogram in time. Thus, he gave hope and other enterprises not to invest in ecomodernization. Because you can invent an excuse, endure to the session, and everything will be fine. Not for the residents of the industrial region, though.

By the way, yesterday we were told about the fate of the Council of Krivoy Rog Executive Committee for “Arcelormittal Kryvyi Rih” Because of the untimely implementation of the Ecoprogram. Now the materials are in court, the case has not listened. Because first the document was issued with errors, and it was returned from the court for revision. Therefore, incomprehensible remains a question of selectivity of local authorities. Why are similar lawsuits not filed with other enterprises, who do not timely perform measures provided by the city environmental program, the permissions on emissions? After all, such examples are not isolated.

AMKR reported that he finally stopped the steelmaking devices № 6, which would have to be done three years ago.
